Selection of drag chain
1. The diameter of the inner cavity of the support plate is D1=d+0.1d (taking integer). Where d = wire, cable, liquid, gas hose outside diameter.
2. According to the maximum aperture Dmax of the inner cavity of the support plate, determine the height of the chain plate hg and the model of drag chain TLXX.
3. Determine the type of support plate and bending radius of drag chain according to the functional requirements of drag chain:
(1) When the drag chain needs to carry large pipe and cable load, it should use high strength support plate type I (block type).
(2) When the size of pipe and cable joints is larger than the aperture of the inner cavity of the support plate or must be frequently disassembled, maintenance, etc., you can choose to support the II type. It is a separate type of support plate.
(3) Installation of more specifications of the cable, you can choose to support plate III type (frame type).
(4) Decide the width of support plate B1 according to the number of installed pipes and cables, so as to get the width of drag chain B.

Drag Chain with Three Plates
Since the maximum length of the support plate is 600mm-650mm, it is possible to install one or more chain plates on a wider drag chain. Another reason is that the stability of the wider drag chain can be improved, and the casing can be separated from the cable by the third chain plate.
Note: For GLE type take parameters D,12,e, for TL type take f,j,k.
Elastic condition of hydraulic tubing
It should be noted that hydraulic hoses elongate or shorten under pressure, therefore, the elasticity coefficient of the hose should be taken into account, especially in case of high pressure and long drag chain lengths.
